First Response Course Dates

New EFAW Dates

(Emergency First Aid at Work Training)
  • Thursday 14 January, Keynsham
  • Tuesday 29 March, Keynsham
  • Wednesday 18 May, Keynsham
This Level 2 Emergency First Aid at Work course will be evaluated by continuous assessment and a multiple choice paper in line with modern day assessment practices. Courses run from 9am-5pm at West View Surgery in Keynsham.

Your EFAW First Aid Certificate will be valid for a period of 3 years and and can gain each student 6 CPD points. The course is also Qualsafe Awarded (QA) and compliant to the current Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF).

Please note: We also run 3-Hour Refresher courses at the same venue on the same days.

Be able to:

  • Understand the role of the first aider.
  • Act safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency.
  • Administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation promptly and effectively.
  • Administer first aid safely, promptly and effectively to a patient with a minor injury, or who is unconscious, choking or bleeding (internally & externally).
  • Administer first aid safely, promptly and effectively to a patient who showing the signs & symptoms of shock.
  • Prevent cross infection, recording incidents and actions and the use of available equipment.

The course will also update you of any new current first aid issues.
