01 Product Development

New FJ14 hydroEngine complete
Natel has completed production of the first FJ14 hydroEngine. The “Free-Jet” hydroEngine shares many innovations with the “Fully Flooded” hydroEngine, but uses a jet of water instead of flow through a fully flooded housing to produce torque. The Free-Jet offers the advantages of a crossflow turbine, but is more compact and scalable due to the hydroEngine’s linear drive train.

Assembly underway on belt testing system

Assembly is underway on a system to test new belt configurations for Natel’s hydroEngines. These new belts will help us expand head, flow and power ranges for future hydroEngines.

02  Project Focus

New FJ14 hydroEngine successfully installed at Freedom, ME Hydro Project.
Natel’s new “Free-Jet” hydroEngine was recently installed at an old mill in Freedom, Maine.  The project is rated to produce 35kW and will provide a reliable source of electricity to a restaurant and school located in the refurbished mill house.

03 Business Development
