Marty's Message

In the past couple Monday Messages we’ve highlighted students and faculty making a difference, now it's time to look at our alumni!

Be sure to read the Monday Message about the alumni maps project. Eva, working with each CPS department, has created an innovative way to see where our alumni live and work. Now all we have to do is encourage alumni to add their “pin” to the map.

CPS alumni serve in a variety of professional settings and fields throughout Central Wisconsin, across the state, nation and worldwide. They serve our communities as teachers, designers, health care, wellness and business leaders. One great example highlighted in the WSHA feature is the impact of our graduates on the communication disorders field throughout Wisconsin.

Not only are our alumni successful professionals, but many also stay involved with CPS and UW-Stevens Point in a number of key ways that foster students’ career success. The Habeck Family Scholarship is an excellent example of how one alumni family has honored their legacy at UWSP and given back to contribute to our student success.

Marty Loy,
CPS Dean
