Marty's Message

On Friday, we hosted a visit from UWSP Foundation Board members. This is a pleasure that we have three times each year when they gather on campus to meet. The board is made up of alumni and friends of the university who volunteer their time to oversee the foundation and help raise money in support of UWSP.

It is a pleasure because these are people are keenly interested in us, our programs and in our work with students. They are community leaders who are highly accomplished and have decided to put their talents to work on our behalf.

In the past we have toured the Speech, Language and Hearing Clinic, the CPS Café and the concussion research center. We have let them try the technology in the Innovations Space, spoken with students who have studied abroad, told them about plans for the Marshfield Clinic Health System partnership and updated them on issues in K-12 education. On Friday, we focused on the School of Business and Economics and the new Anderson Classroom to Career (C2C) Center.

It is important to share many accomplishments to share with our board members because they have helped us achieve all of them and they are very proud ... they tell me all the time!
