Marty's Message

Be sure to read the article in this week’s Monday message about Deanna Deising who recently received a prestigious University Service Award.

Deanna serves as the administrative assistant for the School of Health Promotion and Human Development. Like each of our college support staff, Deana tends the details needed to create an efficient and effective office. Contracting, budgets and record keeping are part of her daily routine; as are providing day-to-day support to faculty; and supervising a small army of student employees.

However, that is not all that Deanna or other CPS assistants pull off each year. This year, Deanna also served as the ADA for the Division of Interior Architecture. She organized two awards banquets, several advisory board meetings, and many other department, student, faculty and alumni events. In particular, the decorations and photo booth at Deanna’s banquets are examples of her thoughtfulness and attention to detail.

Congratulations Deanna and a big THANK YOU to each of our administrative support staff on the important role you play on the CPS team.

Marty Loy,
CPS Dean
