Marty's Message

The budget has been and will be on the top of our mind, even during this time of year. The holidays are a time for giving, and as I think of our budge work, there are a few gifts that have become apparent:

I am proud of what we have already done to become leaner and more efficient. In many ways our campus budget discussion highlighted our self-improvement efforts thus far and the high quality of our programs.

Each of our CPS programs have articulated plans for the future that will make themselves stronger and at the same time bring additional revenues to their departments.

It has been gratifying to work through the budget issues together with your associate deans. You can be proud of their ability to advocate for your programs and speak on your behalf.

It has also been gratifying to watch our chancellor, line officers and other deans defend all of our programs and work through the budget issues together.

These are gifts I truly appreciate and know they will serve CPS well in the new year.
