1. Cape Town is a vibrant city, where hundreds of thousands crowd the city bowl’s streets to party right through the night.  Local bubbly is popping everywhere, on the slopes of Table Mountain, on sandy beaches, in the Waterfront and on thousands of private balconies.  No wonder Cape Town was voted the most popular holiday destination for 2011 by Trip Advisor.

5 Dreams of a New Year's Eve in Summer!

Dear Guests from all over,
welcome to this edition of BOLENG's Newsletter! We send these letters out every now and then to keep you informed of which new adventures we have discovered to provide you with yet another well-planned, tailor-made, self-drive holiday.
This time: Escape the cold European winter and enjoy New Year's the South African outdoors way with warm summer weather!

2. The dramatic backdrop of the Drakensberg, the horizon filled with the image of peaks above 3000m!  Peaceful chalet in a lodge serving excellent cuisine.  Well-kept horses to gallop through impressive landscape in mountain air, that is crisp like freshly poured champagne.  What a cherry on the top!
3. Spend the night in the serene solitude of a Kalahari Camp, under the crystal clear Milky Way.  The stars are so brilliant, breath takingly unblemished – only our great grand parents could witness them this clearly.   Spend time here in a self-catering bungalow, amidst the dunes of the red Kalahari.
4. Just behind the last dune a cosy chalet is tucked away under pines, with a view over the golden, sandy beach, and within earshot of the restless breakers of the warm Indian OceanRomantic solitude to die for, the ideal way to pass from one year to the next: toasting the New Year with your loved one - and totally isolated from masses, media and manual labour.
5. Camp fire in the bush, delicious red wine, wildlife noises in the distance, and sometimes not so distant at all!  This is the Africa of 300 years ago, to be enjoyed from the comfort of a small, elegant and very well-managed Bush Camp.  The best and most affordable venue to conjure up the Big Five, a photographer’s dream.  Take your pick:  either the lush, pristine low-veld bush, or the drier African savannah – the latter usually  in a malaria-free private game reserve!
