5 Visits for $100

In my continuing effort to make acupuncture as affordable as possible, I am offering a program of 5 acupuncture visits for only $100. Most people come to my office for the treatment of pain. Back pain, neck pain, knee pain, on and on. To treat pain effectively, a patient often needs several acupuncture treatments, and acupuncture works best if you have several in a short period of time. Frequency of treatment, when treating pain, is of the utmost importance.

Commonly around the Rogue Valley, individual acupuncture treatments are in the $60 and up price range. Aside from the economy being slow, that cost is one most of us cannot afford on a regular basis. At Rose Acupuncture, our hope is that this new program will allow you a great start, to get the results you want, at an affordable rate. And, for most of you, that means that you are out of pain.

Cold Damp Weather

Some people tell me that they get aches in their joints or muscles when the weather is going to change. Other patients tell me that they have more pain in the winter than the summer. Spring and fall can also be hard, because of the fluctuations in the temperatures. As someone recently told me, “It’s that time of year!”.
What to do? Chinese medicine has a long history of treating pains that worsen with cold, damp weather. This condition is called Wind Damp Bi or what we in the West call arthritis.

Acupuncture is helpful with pain relief, depending on the severity. In addition, herbal medicine is very useful. One famous formula is Du Huo Ji Sheng Wan. It is sometimes translated as Solitary Hermit. As the translation suggests, if you take this formula, you will have less pain, be more mobile, and not be stuck at home like a solitary hermit. Solitary Hermit is just one of many formulas that treat this condition. Some are better if most of the pain is in the upper body, neck and shoulders; some are more effective if the pain is in the lower body, legs, knees, ankles. I carry various versions of these formulas and will recommend the one most suited to you.
These herbal medicines are also effective at providing pain relief for fibromyalgia patients affected by the same cold, damp weather conditions.

So, if you are one of those people who feel worse when it is windy and damp out, or have a friend who is hurting, I am here to tell you that there is help for you.

So….. be healthy and have a happy holiday season.

Call me if I can be of help,

Rosie
