Aloha travel2change Explorers!
Thought of the day:  “Work for a cause, not for applause. Live life to express, not to impress.”

Join us in farewelling magical May and welcoming the joys of June in Hawaii, where adventure awaits in more fun and meaningful ways with travel2change.

We've had plenty of exciting activities that have increased our ohana of Explorers.  Our new partnership with Karmalaya brought us a wonderful group from Germany who got to experience our new activities on Oahu.  While adding value and support to our team this month were interns: Melissa Jensen, Denis Mannschatz,  Kimber Rilometo and Pauline Riman.  Keep scrolling to read more!

A warm Mahalo to you for your continuous support from the travel2change founders:

"Danke"  - Mahalo Karmalaya
The beginning of May brought a group of keen explorers from Germany through our partner Karmalaya, who came in search of meaningful experiences on Oahu. The ladies hiked the amazing trails of Kualoa, Waimea and the Lyon Arboretum, taking in some pretty spectacular views and making an impact through travel2change hosts - Oahu Invasive Species Committee (OISC), Waimea Beach Park and Kualoa Nature Reserve. The highlight of their travel was the Waikiki Beach Yoga and Ocean Healing that sealed their unforgettable Spirit of Aloha experience.
Interns and Volunteers Make Us Better
We welcomed interns Kimber Rilometo from the Marshall Islands and Pauline Riman from Papua New Guinea who joined our team in May. Kimber and Pauline are part of the 2018 East-West Center's Pacific Islands Tourism Fellows Program - a program established to expose fellows from the Pacific Islands to tourism in Hawaii through direct work experience. This hardworking pair assisted our Karmalaya group with activities out at the He'eia State Park, the Lyon Arboretum and the Kaha Gardens. We are excited to be sharing and exchanging knowledge in relation to sustainable tourism. We value the work and experience our interns bring to travel2change. Our Very Own #GalwithInspiration
At the fourth annual #GalswithLEI Forum hosted by the East-West Center, our co-Founder Doris Masser was a panelist sharing her insights on why she joined travel2change. The summit celebrates the Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Inspiration of female business and social entrepreneurs in generating jobs and strengthening communities. #GalswithLEI hopes to inform, engage, and inspire Hawaii’s female business and social entrepreneurs by connecting local established women leaders and bold millennials.
