Reeve's ReSOURCE: Sustainable Purchasing Insights from the Reeve Consulting Team
Greetings Sustainability and Supply Chain Colleagues,
I’m energized by the incredible strategy and innovative work that is sweeping across supply chains throughout North America.
Attending the recent Sustainable Brands Conference in Monterey, California just affirmed how strategic Fortune 500 companies are becoming around their value chains. Whether it was neighbourhood-sourced used building materials for new Starbucks Coffee Shops, sensor technology from HP being used to optimize delivery and logistics processes or collaboration among major apparel brands like Levi’s, North Face and REI in the areas of product sustainability – there’s so much interesting work taking place, and some promising collaborations.
We hope that you too are seeing real business value being created within your organizations as you build out your own internal sustainable supply chain programs. Read on for some inspiring stories and to track some key issues that we see on the radar.
I’ll be in France, Italy and Spain for part of July where I’ll be getting a chance to deepen my understanding of the wine supply chain across the Cotes Du Rhone region of Provence. Sante!
