A Healthy Smiles for the Holidays

In honor of the holiday season, we'd like to share a story from the Huntridge Teen Clinic in Las Vegas, a Smiles Across America® partner who helped SAA expand services to teens thanks to a grant from CareCredit. You will never again doubt the importance of a healthy smile.

An Ounce of Prevention

Last month OHA President and CEO Beth Truett led the Patient Advocacy section at the 2013 Prevention Summit: Advancing America's Oral Health, specifically as part of the Patient Advocacy group. Held in Chicago, the summit was convened by the American Dental Association's Council on Access, Prevention, and Interprofessional Relations (CAPIR) in response to persistent oral health disparities that exist in the United States. Find out the conclusions of the Patient Advocacy group coming out of the summit.

Building Partnerships Thanks to DentaQuest Foundation

The DentaQuest Foundation, a longtime supporter of OHA, held a meeting this fall to bring together 140 grantees and partners from across the country, with Program Manager Dora Fisher attending on behalf of OHA. The first-time meeting provided a wonderful opportunity to network with other oral health organizations and deepen partnerships with the common goal of achieving improved oral health for all Americans. Thank you, DentaQuest Foundation, for your continued support and for hosting this important meeting.

From the President & CEO: Happy Holidays

In this holiday season, thank you to all of our donors and volunteers who support our mission year-round. With your help, OHA worked with partners throughout the country to reach hundreds of thousands of Americans this year that needed oral health care, education and a voice for equitable policies. Please, consider making a gift to OHA during the holidays when your generosity will be matched dollar for dollar by Ivoclar Vivadent through the end of the year. Happy holidays!
