Industry as a 'guest' in your community

Good morning everyone,

When you think about a guest in your community, what comes to mind?

With many rural communities hosting industry development in their areas, the Rural Summit is this year exploring the key features of these developments, the relationship with communities, technology, young people, jobs, planning and the role of local government.

Leighton Contractors, one of Australia’s largest construction companies has a philosophy of seeing itself as a ‘guest’ in the communities where it works and will address the Rural Summit’s Industry and Community – Get IT section.

Tony McDonald, Stakeholder Relations Manager with Leighton Contractors, said the company is currently constructing the Macarthur wind farm project in south western Victoria. Mr McDonald's
presentation at 2.20pm on Thursday 19 April will also touch on the company’s national community investment program, including the Beacon Foundation.

Read the media release here. Check out the Rural Summit program and book here. Bookings close on Monday, 9 April.
We look forward to seeing you in Port Fairy.
