Episode 1 of Invisible Women is called Service Zero

It's the story of Edie, a young woman who worked within a large resistance cell in Ghent, Brussels. Her whole family was involved in the resistance work.

When Diane interviewed Edie, she was in her 80s and had been living in Canada for over 50 years. Even though the work she did was instrumental in helping the Allies identify enemy supply and troop movements, she didn't feel as though she had contributed much to the war effort. But she was proud that she had stepped up when asked.

Award winning Vancouver actor Patti Allan is the voice of Edie.  Patti has been involved in theatre, film and TV, both in Vancouver and across the country, for over 30 years.  You can read more about her here.
