One Day Longer, One Day Stronger: Rainforest Cafe Workers Secure First Contract after 80 Day Strike

Congratulations to the unshakeable workers at the Rainforest Cafe on attaining their first contract after a hard and long fight. 

They wish to thank all of their supporters, particularly Workers United members in Niagara.

Members of Workers United Local 2742 (Compass Canada - AMEX) celebrate Diversity Day at work with new Workers United t-shirts that celebrate transgender rights – because we all have human rights regardless of our gender identity or sexual orientation.

Congratulations to our members from multiple union locals who completed their Basic Stewards Training on July 3 & 4.

Make It Right!

Best of luck to members of Workers United Local 152 (TJX Distribution Centres in Mississauga and Brampton) as they begin bargaining for their new contract. 

Workers started things off with a "Make It Right" sticker day action in the workplace. 

Workers United staff in Winnipeg received an award from the Winnipeg Labour Council for their work on the United Way of Winnipeg's fundraising initiative for communities in need.

Justice for Janitors

Speaking of justice, cleaners at a fancy downtown condo in Toronto have been locked out by their employer. They are being given 4 rags to clean an entire building and threatened with having to pay for garbage bags.
