On October 19th, the Federal Elections will take place. After nearly a decade in power, we have an opportunity to reverse the damaging policies that have been implemented by Harper's Conservative Party by electing a government that will benefit workers and families.
We have compiled a list of useful links and information for members to prepare for the election. This includes information on:

Solidarity with Mana Workers in Hamilton
In late July, Workers United rallied in solidarity with striking workers from Steelworkers Local 1005 at the Mana plant in Hamilton. Workers have been off the job for two years while the company uses scab labour to keep the plant operational.

Ontario Federation of Labour Convention
November 23 - 27, 2015
The OFL will be holding its 13th Biennial Convention from November 23 to the 27th at the Sheraton Centre in Downtown Toronto. Workers United has limited amount of delegates it can send. Canadian Labour International Film Festival November 14 & 15, 2015
The Canadian Labour International Film Festival (CLIFF), will be taking place in Toronto on November 15th & 16th at the Carlton Cinema. Come check out a great selection of films about work and labour from around the world. Admission isfree! Screenings will also be organized in cities across Canada. Our Workers United counterparts in the U.S. from the Chicago & Midwest Regional Joint Board, are currently working to organize workers from the upscale fashion retailer Barneys NY. Congratulations to members at Amer Sports in Belleville, Ontario for ratifying a new contract and standing strong against employer attempts to force workers to accept an unfair agreement.
