The Cedar Grove Civic Association September Meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 8th, 2015 in Fr. Land Hall (St. Brendan Church) at 7:00 pm. On the Agenda this month... Denis Keohane to discuss a 5 unit design at 884 Adams Street, Discussion of the new signage on St. Brendan Road, plus an update on the Sam Mavericks proposal
Update
Denis Keohane will not be on the agenda for this coming Tuesday's meeting in regards to 884 Adams Street as the abutter meeting is scheduled for next Wednesday. This information was discovered after the newsletter went to print. We are kindly requesting that his presentation be given at October's meeting after the eboard know how the abutters feel about the new proposal.

The Mayor's Cup Soccer tournament is now registering teams! This tournament will bring together teams from throughout Boston to show their talent! Fair Foods every Wednesday @ 4:30 PM: At the BCYF Tobin, there is the Fair foods every Wednesday at 4:30pm! Fill up on fresh fruits and vegetables for only $2 a bag on alternate Wednesdays. They have no eligibility requirements, no registration, and no ID checks. Take as many bags as you need for yourself, friends, or family! http://www.fairfoods.org/

Clubhouse Network Open House: Join the Clubhouse Network (formerly the Intel Computer Clubhouse) for their Open House on Saturday, Sep. 19th, from 2pm-5pm at the Flagship Clubhouse: an inventor's workshop, music studio, game development lab, sound stage, and more, where youth (ages 10-18) have access to cutting-edge technology and software. Come produce songs, construct 3D models, create your own animations and videos, build a website, and much more. Located at the Museum of Science, our FREE after-school program is open on Wed. and Thurs. (2:30pm-7pm), Fri. (2:30pm-8pm), and Sat. (12pm-6pm). Visit clubhousebeat.org for more information.

Fathers and Family Fun Day: Come out to celebrate fatherhood and families! The goal of this event is to help raise awareness of the unique role that fathers play in the healthy development of children. After lively debate the membership voted to approve the proposal for a restaurant, Sam Mavericks to be  located at 11 Granite Ave, The final vote was 120 to 80.
