Neponset Pumpkin Float: The 16th Annual Neponset Pumpkin Float will take place on Thursday October 26th 5:30-7:30 at Pope John Paul park. Volunteers needed
 
Household Hazardous Waste Drop-off: Sat. Oct 7th - 9AM-2PM at UMASS Boston Bayside Parking Lot.  Boston residents can safely dispose of hazardous waste and shred unwanted documents for free. Learn more at: https://www.boston.gov/departments/public-works/get-rid-household-hazardous-waste

Children’s Halloween Party: Saturday, October 21st from 12-3pm in St. Brendan’s Church hall. Join for lots of tricks & treats. Costumes recommended. DJ, dancing, face painting and lots of games. $5.00 per person/$20.00 per family.
 
Annual St. Brendan’s Turkey Shoot: Save the date — the annual Turkey Shoot will take place this year on Saturday, November 18th at 7pm. Adults only, 21+

Lucy’s American Tavern
Julian Bolger made a presentation regarding his application to apply for a 1:00am liquor license, there was an update on an abutter meeting held the evening before and the abutters shared their concerns. A vote will be taken at the Oct 10th CGCA meeting. 
 
Community Choice Energy Campaign By the Boston Climate Action Network 
Their campaign is regarding a Massachusetts program which allows any city or town to choose the electricity supplier for all its residents and businesses.
 
Development Updates
  • 10 Belton St - Rear addition to extend in the rear for family member with medical needs - neighbors at abutters meeting supported and then Eboard provided a letter of support.
  • 38R Minot Street - has an "At Risk Permit", the owner will hold an abutters meeting and then present their plans at the next CGCA Eboard meeting.
  • 32 Rockne Ave/44-46 Crocket Ave - Crocket Ave homeowners shared plans to take down their garage and build a one family house on the back of their property that faces Rockne.  An abutters meeting was held there were no concerns regarding the structure, they then presented plans to the Eboard and provided signatures from the abutters.  A letter of support will be sent when a hearing date is set.
  • 18 Sylvester Rd - presented to the Eboard for a vertical addition.
  • 135 Granite Parking Spaces - hearing was held in September and approved to legalize the 15 current spaces.
Acting President 
Patty McMahon updated members that she was currently the Acting President but had agreed to serve in that position through September. Dave Anderson from the Eboard has stepped up to be the new Acting President and Kelly Butts will serve as the Vice President.
