An Honor Befitting of Kings

On Thursday, December 6, 2018, students lined up in a clapping celebration for Dr. Gene Giggleman's and Bahram Sardarabadi's final lecture. Together they combined a career totaling 45 years (Dr. Giggleman 28 years and Sardarabadi 17 years). Fondly known as Dr. G and Bahram, the two became close friends, and each other’s family became a part of the others.
The celebration continued that evening honoring the two great teachers and their families with speeches by students and faculty who showed their love and appreciation through words, emotions, and laughter. With over 7,800 students passing through their classrooms, their dedication of teaching excellence and loving service will be missed, but will forever be woven into the fabric that is Parker.

PARKER WINS ITS 16TH CHIRO GAMES TITLE, BRINGING THE RECORD TO 11 IN THE LAST 14 YEARS
The records just kept falling Oct. 27-28 in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Nine individual sports championships. 120 total team points. Four consecutive overall team championships. 16th team championship in the 27-year history of the Chiro Games. And when the dust settled, the Parker Patriots had claimed their 11th overall team title in the last 14 years by outdistancing Palmer-Florida by 30 points and leaving Logan 62 points behind.
The most lop-sided Chiro Games in history started with the table tennis team claiming Parker’s first gold medal. Soon after, the running team coasted to a championship, and the Ultimate Frisbee squad made it three years in a row without a loss. Before the weekend was over, flag football, softball, bowling, women’s soccer, men’s soccer, and women’s golf had all taken their place on the top step of the awards’ stand. Parker also finished second in swimming, tennis, and volleyball and third in men’s basketball. Palmer-Florida collected championships in volleyball, swimming, and tennis, while Logan picked up the gold medal in men’s golf and Los Angeles Chiropractic College took home the gold medal in men’s basketball. In all, 11 teams from throughout the United States, and Canadian Memorial were in attendance.

Alumni who participate in the Practice-Based Internship Program give a monthly or annual donation that is awarded to a few students at the end of their DC program.
