Seasons Greetings from Parker's Office of Alumni Relations!

Happy Holidays from Parker University to you and yours! I hope your December is off to a great start, as it is here at the Parker Alumni Association home base. Heading into a new year, we're excited to get back in touch with all of you at the Parker Seminars 2017 hosted at the Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino in February. Of course, we’ll be hosting an Alumni and Friends Reception. This is a great time to remind you that if you are a graduate from 2013 to present, you are entitled to take advantage of the "Free for Three" program which offers you complimentary registration for any North American Parker Seminar.

We will be hosting additional events in 2017 that offer you a great way to reconnect with fellow colleagues, meet current students and learn about trends in the industry. In this month's newsletter, you will find news on the latest happenings in the alumni community, and what's been happening throughout the university, along with a rundown of all the great 2016 events that many of you graciously volunteered your time and energy to support.

Also, if you haven't already, be sure to like Parker University on Facebook and follow Parker University on Twitter – we'll be sure to keep you in the loop between newsletters!

In loving service,
Donna L. Wald

Legislative Day

TCA Legislative Day (Thursday, Feb. 9) – Join us for a quick debrief on TCA’s proposed bills before embarking on scheduled visits with your legislators at the Texas Capitol. It’s a prime opportunity to educate elected officials about chiropractic and TCA’s primary bills during the 85th Texas Legislative Session.

Come join Parker University alumni, students, staff, and faculty in Austin to present our case before the Legislative Board, so that chiropractors can continue to care for patients and run their practice efficiently and effectively.

Force Sensing Technology Table

Have you had a chance to try out the Force Sensing Technology Table? If you haven’t seen it or experienced the performance of the table, below is a brief description of what it can do.

FSTT provides instantaneous data on chiropractic technique delivered by the student during a spinal manipulation. Immediate objective feedback of the student’s performance is displayed in a force-time profile which can be compared to expert force-time profiles. Students then use this feedback to model the desired behavior. To experience what the FSTT table can do, contact Tran Pham. To make a donation towards a second FSTT table, visit our website and select "FSTT Initiatve" in the Donation Dropdown Box.
