Primrose's Kitchen

Dorset-made, gluten-free and vegan-friendly, the cereals from Primrose's Kitchen are very popular with our customers. The flavours are pretty unique - even Primrose describes them as "quirky fruit and veg combinations", but somehow they work. The packaging is all plastic-free and home compostable so this is something delicious and 100% guilt-free!

Summer Veg

"Bean time is lean time" - a saying that has stuck with greengrocers for generations, evoking that time when customers have a glut of vegetables in their gardens and no longer need to buy fresh veg from the shops. This year many have been able to spend more time in their gardens and re-discover the joy of harvesting fresh for the day's meal. If you do not have enough courgettes, beans, greens and marrows in your garden then please do buy some from us. They are the freshest, tastiest veg - make the most of them by lightly grilling or steaming to keep in that glorious flavour.
Below is a River Cottage recipe for piccalilli - easier to make than you might think. You will be glad of it in the depths of winter!

New Lines...

I know these wines are not local (we do also stock local wine), but they are sourced by a local, independent wine merchant: Selected Grapes (formerly Wessex Wines) in St Michael's Trading Estate, Bridport. We have recently introduced a couple of new lines, including an organic pair from Italy. All our wines are excellent value for money, in the range of £8 - £12 a bottle (sparkling £25-£35).
