Weekly Newsletter
Hi everyone,

Hi everyone. I hope everybody is enjoying the first few weeks of the festive season. There are a number of Christmas activities happening this week at Carisbrooke.

The School Giving Tree is up in the front entrance and there are still a few gifts tags left to select. The school Christmas concert is on Wednesday at Centennial Theatre and, unfortunately tickets are SOLD OUT. If, however, you have a spare ticket please email me and I will try and connect you with someone who is looking for a ticket. We have at least 13 families who were not able to get any tickets at all.

We have two Gingerbread Houses on show at the school as part of the Gingerbread House Fundraiser, the small one on display outside the office was a wonderful surprise from Margaret and it will be used as a Gotcha draw by the school for Gotchas earned over the last two week. Raffle tickets will be on sale on Thursday before and after school and Friday after school.

Sign up, for our very popular lunch time activity, chess club, will start on Tuesday the 9th and close on Tuesday the 16th.  The club will start in January and run for 6 weeks. There are two groups grades 1-3 and grades 4-7. If, like in previous years, interest exceeds space a random draw will be done.  We are also looking for parent knitters to volunteer for the weekly lunchtime knitting club which will be starting in January.

Mark your calendars,  the Carisbrooke Adult Social will be held on the 27th February at the North Shore Winter Club. (See below for more details) We are kicking off the planning for the Carisbrooke Adult Social with a planning meeting in the school library on Monday 8th Dec at 7pm. If you have any questions please contact hillary@carisbrookpac.ca.

Remember FUN LUNCH is on Tuesday this week (Hot Dogs) as Wednesday is the Christmas Concert - and new orders in by 12th Dec.

Cheers

Victoria

WEEKLY Comment from our Crossing Guards.
"This week there was a little girl who stopped right at the crosswalk as I was clearing up the cones, despite the fact that she was late. She waited for her mother to catch up with her and then for me to help them cross. The office has given us GOTCHAs to hand out for being SAFE."
