Welcome to the newsletter for February.

With 2015 now off to a running start, we had a fantastic turnout at the last members' meeting, so thanks to all who attended... there was a great buzz, and we'd like to keep the momentum going. The interest in cycling infrastructure is certainly growing, as shown by the crowd at The Cycle Hub last Tuesday: you can view all the presentations here
If you think you can help the campaign, please see the article below and get in touch. In addition, we are preparing the Campaign AGM for 2015, put the date in your diary!  We are looking to hear from members who would like to make a difference.

Upcoming dates for the diary include:
  • 24 March AGM 2015 – Come and help us shape our campaigning plans for the year ahead at The Cycle Hub 18:30-20:30.
Keep on pedalling!

We Campaign, We Lobby, We Publish, We Inform...

We responded to Newcastle City Council's budget consultation and keep pushing for a city transport transition. We also published a position statement on NCC's interest to bid for the TdF. Read what we think about the Council’s latest scheme promoting cycling and the call from the campaign for calm.

YouReport – Air Quality

A campaign member and Gosforth resident takes a look at air quality, comparing the situation across the EU and nationally in the UK to the subject’s relevance on Gosforth High Street – one of Newcastle's Air Quality Management Areas. Click here to read the article.
