This week, we are discussing:
Threads.
How we are all connected and separate at the same time.
OK, so here we are in December already. The Christmas sales are in full swing, those who follow a Christian tradition are preparing the tree, thinking about what to buy for who and what to eat on the day and where. Many of these decisions are made months in advance. For many people though, December is just another month. What makes December important is not Christmas as much as a chance to look back over the last year and see how far we have come.
So here are some things to ponder this December.
-
How have you changed in the last year? - What have you learned about yourself, about the world, how do you handle challenges differently now?
-
Who have you loved, lost, or let go? - Dr Bruce Lipton talks about 'The Biology of Belief' and has a book called 'The Honeymoon Effect'. Both these books talk about energy. Although we are all connected, there will be some energies that we are connected to and enjoy and others we can let go or that seem somehow to not be a good fit. Just because we are all connected does not mean we all have to love one another and hang out together when it doesn't feel right. Just like gardens, although they are full of plants, there are some plants that complement each other and some that damage each other. Find the people who compliment and support you to grow stronger.
-
What goals did you achieve? - I don't set new years resolutions. I set goals. Regularly. And I check my progress regularly. This year has been huge for me personally. I have been to 2 Tony Robbins events (a long term goal), have run some very successful workshops, worked with amazing clients and am moving to Melbourne. All these were on my goals list.
-
What are the highlights for you? - for myself, see above. What have been yours. I'd love it if you could comment or share yours on our facebook page. When you achieve you feel great. When you share with others, you inspire greatness in them.
-
Who have you met? - What people are in your life now that weren't there 12 months ago? - Again at the end of this year my core group of people has changed. There will always be my children. My earth family that I now share time with were in my life last year at this time but we were not close like we are now. Who have you connected with that now feels like earth family for you?
-
Who has gone from your life? Who has passed on, moved, left for some other reason? - There are people who last year I was very close to. Either they or I have now moved either physically, spiritually or energetically. I remember having a conversation with a friend about friendship and love. He said, 'so we aren't here to learn how to connect, we are here to learn how to let go'.
Anyway, I just wanted to encourage you to reflect on these things. And to encourage you to think about the next year. What will you do to make it even better?
have a great week.
Til next time
Sherry
