Some call it charisma. And everyone wants to know what is the secret. We have all met someone who was just captivating. Many great leaders have been called charismatic. And many people would say it is hard to define. But we think you can work on developing it. Try out our tips and let us know how you go.
Confidence
One thing that all irresistable people have in common is confidence. True confidence looks, feels and sounds quite different to arrogance. That can be something that is hard to fake. But there are a couple of things you can do to trick your mind in to feeling it.
Smile
If you put a smile on your face you will instantly feel more confident and others will perceive you as more confident.
Relax Charismatic people have a sense of fun and ease. There are many tools that can help you to relax. Meditation is one. Daily excersize is another. Find what makes you feel happy and at ease and do some of that
Be yourself.
Charismatic people are absolutely comfortable in their own skin. There is no such thing as 'larger than life'. Life is the size it is. You are the size you are. Own every single bit of space that you have within you. When you are comfortable in your body, and you use the space you have, you appear more confident.
Believe Charismatic people know what they want to do, And they beleive in themselves and their ideas. They have generally done the research behind their decisions and have faith in their ability to deliver. Many people do not have strong beliefs. Because people want to believe in something, they will generally follow someone who does have astrong belief. Think of some of the great leaders (and some of the ones who were evil) and what they all had is unshakable belief in an idea. People follow those with the idea. You cannot be a leader without followers and you won't have any followers if you don't beleive in something.
So stand tall, square your shoulder, believe in a cause, smile and relax.
