It's the month of love...

Love is in the air, they say.  But is it?  Have you caught the bug?  What is love making you do this Valentine's Season?

We had plans simply to share provisions with 50 women from the Gbara community near our office, but someone with the love bug came along to offer us a really great discount to take our kids to watch a lovely play showing at Terra Kulture, Lagos on the 17th of February at 3pm.  We could hardly resist the offer of N1,000 per person (as opposed to N5,000) to give our kids a really nice experience at the theatre...  So, we are going!!!  If you'd like to join us, just reply this mail, and we'll see if you can get in on the same discount.

Apart from that, we shared our plans of the year with our sponsors and volunteers on WhatsApp (add us - +234 8058711125).  After Valentine's "Love In The Community" outreach, we are planning an outing to Dreamworld Africana for Children's Day.  Our theme for this year's Summer Programme is "Leaders Of Tomorrow, Today", and so we are taking the children to a number of significant places in Lagos, and bringing mentors in to teach them about the laws of the land, their rights and how they can participate as good citizens.

For Independence Day, we will be at Terra Kulture again to catch a culturally relevant play.  And for Christmas, we are starting something new called "Secret Santa Christmas".  We've chosen Jakande Housing Estate to bless, and we will find out what each resident wants for Christmas, then share with you, our friends.  We hope that you will be happy to be a secret santa to someone who needs it, and may never be able to pay back!  We should release the list of Christmas wishes/gifts in September.

We hope your year is off to a great start!  We'd love to see you at one of our events this year, and would definitely appreciate your donations.  Please keep us in your heart and mind, pray for us and those we are working with too.  Thank you!

If you would like to sponsor a child, please email us at  To give now, please donate to FAIR LIFE AFRICA FOUNDATION at Guaranty Trust Bank, 0106643687 or contribute online via our GLOBALGIVING project page or via PAYSTACK.  God bless you!

A Christmas To Remember!

Last year, we put in all effort to make it a Christmas to remember for our kids at FLA.  The difference was we started out early, and reached out to our friends inviting them to contribute towards hampers we wanted to give to our children and their families.  And we are so pleased that so many people bought into our vision and supported us to make it a reality...  Read more...
