School With A Difference

A story of passion and collaboration...

We teamed up with Salt Society, Rhythm and Beat Dance Production, Arise Records, Christianah Fate Foundation and Spik Rait Saund Rait to organise a Summer School Programme for the FLA Kids. The last time they all got together was when we took them all out to Dreamworld Africana to celebrate Children’s Day in May. So, coming together again, in a fun learning environment, was a real treat for them. It was also our aim to get the FLA Kids together like one big happy family, and help them to learn from each other, and also develop their social skills, which are not limited to sharing, showing consideration, resolving conflict and many other values that the children gained and appreciated while visiting the Home. A Day At Lufasi Park

Summer outing for the FLA Kids

The outing to Lufasi Park was the ultimate end to a fabulous Summertime with the FLA Kids! Many thanks to Abe Soyemi of Salt Society, who made arrangements with the management of the Park, so that they opened their doors to our children for free on the 28th of August. The air was so much lighter there, as we were surrounded by nature, and the Sun was favourable too. We truly appreciate Ese Atiyota, who joined us to capture the beautiful day in enduring photographs. The children learnt about the park, and about the animals, and had such a good time playing too. Christopher even won a prize for answering a quiz. AWESOME!
