Every Day Should be Children's Day...

Hmmm...  Do you agree with that?  I'm not sure if I do.  It sounds nice on paper, in theory.  I'm sure the kids would love it...  But, perhaps there's a point to having one day hallowed for children and for different causes.  Because children also need to realise that the world doesn't revolve around them...  What are your thoughts?

Father's Day is coming up this month...  It appears to be the neglected day, after two separate celebrations of Mother's Day, thanks to the UK and the US disagreeing on which day to commemorate.  I think we really need to do more to honour and appreciate men, even as we seek to include, embrace and empower women in the world.  So, here's a Happy Father's Day in advance to all the men whose contributions make this world a better place!

It's been a quiet first half of the year...  It's hard to believe we are now in June!  Apart from taking our children to enjoy a fun-filled day in May, in honour of Children's Day, we haven't held any events.  Unfortunately, with dates switching of the elections in February, we weren't able to keep our appointment with Terra Kulture for the kids to enjoy a play.  But we are still keen to do so in October, during our Independence Day celebration.

Before then, we will be having the kids over for our annual Summer Programme.  This year's theme remains Leaders of Tomorrow, Today.  Do join us to plan and make this one special :)

We have more kids on the waiting list for sponsors.  If you would like to sponsor a child, please email us at support@fairlifeafrica.org.  To give now, please donate to FAIR LIFE AFRICA FOUNDATION at Guaranty Trust Bank, 0106643687 or contribute online via our GLOBALGIVING project page or via PAYSTACK.  God bless you!

A Day To Remember...

Ahead of this year's Children's Day celebration, we took the FLA Kids to Dreamworld Africana amusement park on the 26th of May, where they had the chance to ride the roller-coaster, pirate ship, carousel, sky ride, bumper cars and more!  They even got to swim, which they love to do 😄

This is a privilege they wouldn't enjoy without our support.  And while our focus is on their empowerment and education, we very much believe having fun is great for children's all round development! It was truly a fun and fruitful day, as the pictures show. Thanks for all our sponsors who made it possible.
