WOW!! Thanks to your generous giving, we collected 104 bags of flour for Christian Neighbors Thanksgiving Boxes for families in need.
Thanks to all who brought in bags of flour, and thank you to Carey Idema and Alan Weathers for transporting them to Christian Neighbors Food Pantry.
2018 ADVENT DEVOTIONAL
Advent begins on December 2, and a great companion throughout the season is the UCC's 2018 Advent Devotional. You can order this lovely booklet by clicking the link above, or you can purchase at copy in the Friendship Hall on Sunday for $5 (cash only).
This Sunday in our Friendship Hall will be our annual Christian Neighbors "Giving Tree." Hanging on the tree are slips of paper with Christmas gift requests written on them for families in need. Please consider taking a slip home this Sunday and purchasing the gift request written on it. Then, place the unwrapped gift inside the "Holiday" box in the Friendship Hall by December 2. Thank you, as always, for your generous giving.

True North Women's Group is also collecting money to support Fennville Elementary School's Winter Closet Project, which keeps snow pants and snow boots on school grounds for under-dressed children. $30 buys a pair of boots or a pair of snow pants, but any donation is appreciated. Checks can be made out to "Douglas UCC" with "Winter Closet Project" in the memo line. If you have gently used snow boots, snow pants, or coats, we will be happy to take them. We will be collecting in the Friendship Hall each Sunday until December 9th.
We hope you can join us on Christmas Eve at 6 p.m. for our annual candlelight service of the "Lessons & Carols," featuring our Holiday Choir under the direction of Marty Kiefer.
