Feb. 2021 News

For us here in Chicago the month of February can only be described by one word: SNOW!  We have a lot of it but that does not stop the proverbial ODO train. Lots of exciting things are going on including another project with Lyft, more cool things coming out of British Airways, and additional CRO Classes via Zoom (Don't forget to register)! Please be aware of the new mask policy and have understanding and patience with those who are unable to wear a mask. But in any case, always be sure that everyone is safe, cause that's what's most important.

Zoom CRO Trainings
Do you have employees who need Initial CRO Training? To meet strong demand and accommodate carriers worldwide, ODO is now offering classes on several dates/times as follows:
March 17-18 from 8am-12 noon EST - Space ltd.
April 14-15 from 6pm - 10:30 pm EDT 
April 21-22 from 10am - 2:30 pm EDT .

I Love NY Project Update
To launch the next stage of their accessibility program, I Love NY is hosting a webinar for industry members on March 3 entitled "Accessible NY: Reaching New Audiences." The access survey created by ODO will now be posted online so that more attractions and resorts can input their data and benefit from the State promotion. In addition to information on the program and survey, the webinar will include presentations by ODO's Laurel Van Horn and Craig Kennedy on market statistics and best practices. ODO at ACES March 9
The 2021 ACI-NA/AAAE Customer Experience Symposium (ACES) will take place virtually on March 8-10. Representing ODO will be Laurel Van Horn on a panel entitled "Challenges and Solutions in Airport CX: ADA Readiness and Touchless Tech in Concessions." She will discuss the importance of inclusion, especially as aviation rebounds from the pandemic, and how the tendency to silo customers with disabilities does a disservice not just to them but to airport reputations and bottom lines. 

Save the Date -- ODO 2021 Airline Service Symposium 
It's been an extremely rough period for airline service companies as travel by our community plummeted. This free, closed-door event is hosted by ODO so that we can hear directly from managers not just about their challenges but also best practices and innovations. The 2021 Symposium, set for June 10 in Chicago, will be a hybrid event giving attendees the choice of meeting in person or virtually.  Airlines, please invite and encourage your service providers to participate.
