PERU MEDICAL MISSIONS TRIP:
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT
We thank the Westminster family for your support of the TAMU College of Medicine Christian Medical Association medical missions trip we made two weeks ago during Spring Break, March 7-14. We were able to successfully complete the trip but it was a close call on each end. If we had planned to leave here two days later, TAMU would have cancelled us since we were considered a Study Abroad experience. Likewise, if we had planned to leave Peru two days later than we did, that was when Peru closed the borders and we would have had to remain there at least 14 more days. That would have been an immense challenge to find housing and food for 41 people.
Thus we feel that the Lord watched over our trip in a way we could not have imagined. He intended for us to go to Lima and to minister to the people there by providing medical care, sharing his Word, praying with the people we encountered and worshipping with our fellow believers at our host church there. We were able to see almost 700 patients in four days of clinics at four different locations.
This was a most blessed experience for all of us and an example of how God is always in control even in these stressful times we are having.
We thank you again for supporting us this year.
