The Ten[der] Commandments

This Sunday, Pastor Wade will be preaching from Exodus 21:1-3: God's Ten Tender Commandments: Exclusive Loyalty to God. Our summer series takes us straight to the issues of the heart: what motivates us? What animates us? In what do we trust? "You shall have no other gods before me."
We're looking forward to resuming even more activities this fall!

Women, regardless of skill level with a sewing machine, you are invited to come to a sewing bee to piece together the front of our Philippians quilt! On June 19, 10am, we'll be meeting in the Worship Kidz conference room across from the Parlor. We have two women coming with sewing machines, but we will need an ironer, a pinner, and several cutters. We will also need some snacks and some people to cheer us on! Contact Jessica with questions: 979-587-3633.
Save your paper towel rolls! Pastor Tree needs them to decorate for VBS. Also, join us July 10 and 17, 10am-2pm for VBS workdays. We'll be serving pizza to our volunteers.

Child Removals often happen suddenly, without warning, and even sometimes in the middle of the night.  The kids who come into foster and kinship care most often have little to no possessions with them, other than the clothes on their back and a trash bag with a few items. Our ministry partner BCS Together operates The Closet - a practical way for the community to meet the needs of foster, kinship placement, and adoptive homes. The Closet is stocked with diapers, toys, clothing, car seats, and even furniture and baby gear. If you would like to donate gently used items to the Closet, please contact BCS Together to coordinate drop-off. Ask for a tour while you are there!

Of course, children and families in crisis have other needs as well. Along with other area churches, WPC has set up a response team that works with BCS Together and CPS to meet needs. If you'd like to be a part of that response team, contact Jessica or use this link to join our WhatsApp group.
Worshiping online with us Sunday? Our livestream service starts at 10:25.
Joshua Coleman and Sarah Corley are getting married this Saturday! They will be live-streaming the ceremony here. You may remember that Westminster has supported Joshua in two years of ministry with RUF at Rice University. We're happy to report that Joshua will be making a transition over the summer; he will be joining Titus Bagby and Harrison Holmes to work with RUF-Intl. on the campus of Texas A&M. This summer, Joshua will be raising support to continue working with RUF, and in the fall he will start classes at Reformed Theological Seminary - Houston.
We'll be sending 24 senior high students and 6 leaders to Colorado this weekend! They'll be going to RYM Summer Conference in Estes Park. Pastor Tree asks for prayers for safety, spirituality, growth, and spectacular fun.
