beautifully designed talismans in metal and stone with a bit of an edge
Hi <<First Name>>!
I hope you've had a lovely July so far! Michigan went from official drought status to practically underwater in the span of a month (cue the mosquitoes). I wish I could send all this rain to the west coast where it's needed. The height of summer in Michigan also has plenty of magic - the evening is alive with fireflies, crickets and all kinds of other musical creatures; our roadsides are covered in flowers, and the cornfields are getting fuller and more architectural by the day.
We've been absolutely delighted to be working with Montana artist, Ciara Easterling. Her jewelry is filled with detail and looks like it's been pulled from a dig site in Greece or Mesopotamia. It feels both contemporary, old-world, and maybe a little other-worldly. I adore it! I wanted to include her own words, as they're a perfect description of her inspiration:
Bozeman, Montana’s surrounding natural landscape provides Ciara Easterling not only with the stones and materials for her jewelry, but the inspiration, too. Unconventional textures like fish scales and landscape topography help us see the powerful and impeccable beauty surrounding us in a new light.
Sibylline and hauntingly beautiful, every piece of Ciara Easterling jewelry resembles an ancient treasure unearthed after thousands of years of solitude, brought into the light to exclaim lost messages from flora and fauna. Protective and revitalizing, each piece is reflective of the timeless bond between earth and all beings.
I hope you find Ciara's work as intriguing as I do. Of course, if you have any questions or need anything at all, just hit reply or message me on Instagram or Facebook. Have a wonderful day!
P.S. I found a lovely short video depicting Ciara making a ring start to finish in her studio. It's a couple years old, so I'm sure some things have changed, but the beauty and techniques are timeless. The link is after the photos below!
