Come discover,"What is BLACK" on Wednesday January 22nd at Cafe Istanbul doors open at 8:00pm. BLACK simply put is Black musicians creating and performing BLACK MUSIC!

BLACK presented by Wes Anderson IV is the collaboration of young African American musicians who are defining what it is to be a black musician of today! These young artist are setting their own standards in the industry and presenting who they are through their music! The ensemble includes:

Wes Anderson IV - Trumbone

Yirmeyahu Yisrael - Saxophone

Yah'El Yisrael - Piano

Yehosheba Yisrael - Bass

Xavieer Molina -  Drum

This showcase of amazing talent will also include a performance by BIG NEWTOWE! This cool jazz trio will set the mood with their modern vibe! The after party will be an all out FUNK party featuring THE FUNK COLLECTIVE!

Let us take you on a soulful journey as we present THE YISRAEL TRIO ft. DEBY Mc on vocals. This elegant affair will take place in the newly renovated THE JAZZ CLUB located inside the JW MARRIOTT on Canal Street. Two nights only Friday January 24th & Saturday January 25th doors opening at 8pm.
 

Your soul will be ignited by the magnificent voice of the lovely DEBY Mc.  She has toured the US and Europe with major players like Cameo, Alexander O'Neil, Jermaine Jackson, Betty Wright, Aaron & Cyril Neville and many more.  New Orleans is in for a wonderful treat with THE YISRAEL TRIO performing their originals to set the evening on Friday and accompanying DEBY Mc on this musical journey presented by YISRAEL RECORDS INC.
