“I have been studying with Emily for over 5 years now and have grown so much as a horsewoman from our lessons, so I was pleasantly surprised at how my video/phone lesson with Emily allowed me to see my horsemanship from a whole new perspective.  I never imagined that a 3 ½ min video could turn into a rich one hour lesson!  My video lesson was with a prospective new horse and it allowed me to see what I needed to bring to the relationship in order to be an effective new partner for her.  It also allowed me to see how I would need to work with the mind and emotions of my new horse.  The video lesson not only helped me to make a conscious choice to purchase my new equine partner, but it also helped me to start our relationship with more understanding so that I can be aware of her needs. I would highly recommend tapping into Emily's knowledge and support through the convenient means of phone and video consultation.”

Meet and Greet with Emma

MRH is proud to have had Emma Wynne-Jones join us as the newest member of the MRH Team.  Emma joins us from the United Kingdom having traveled to the United States to further engage her interest in horsemanship. Please enjoy getting to know Emma further below:

Please tell us a little about your love of horse?
I must have watched National Velvet hundreds of times as a kid, every Sunday I would watch the video at my grandparents house after lunch on their big bed and cry every time!! When I began teaching children with emotional, social and behavioral difficulties, the wife of a Permaculture teacher of mine introduced me to her herd and the world of natural horsemanship. I knew it was just a matter of time before I would actively pursue the language of Horse.

How did you find your way to MRH?
I was looking for a horsemanship instructor with integrity and intelligence, and I kept being drawn back to MRH website!

What are your goals in your horsemanship study?
I would like to make a longride (at least 1000 miles), and I would like to be a useful hand on a working ranch that sustainably stewards the land (especially grasslands with cattle or/and other herds of hoofed animals).

Where do you see yourself in 5 years with horses?
Living sustainably (or towards this goal) on a working ranch, learning and teaching the language of self-relations - the living synergistic dance of health, freedom and harmony, with self and other - inter-human and inter-species.
