  • The following UniPID Virtual Studies courses are open for registrations or still upcoming:
  • Introduction to Research Methods SIMHE course is open for registrations. The course is primarily aimed at asylum seekers and refugees, and other recent arrivals to Finland. Deadline for registrations is 10 January 2019. Read more here.
  • The UniPID board has handed Seminar Grants for seminars on global development in 2019 to the following events:
  • UniPID office is closed from 22 December 2018 to 1 January 2019. See you again in the new year!
  • Rolling call for UniPID DocNet membership open! If you are a doctoral student dealing with development topics or themes, consider applying for DocNet membership. More information and application form can be found here.

  • Burning Questions 2019, which received a UniPID seminar grant, us organized 17 to 18 January at the University of Oulu. The program includes appearances from guest speakers such as Alemanji Aminkeng Atabong and Pasi Sahlberg. Read more at the UniPID website.
  • Call for abstracts for the FSDR Development Days 2019 is now open! The abstracts of 300-350 words should be submitted directly to one of the proposed working groups by 31 December 2018. The event is organized at the House of Science and Letters in Helsinki. Read more here.
