These are exciting times for African Promise and we're very proud to share with you news of some major developments.

In Kenya, we are a matter of weeks away from completing our latest school redevelopment at Ngambenyi Primary, in partnership with Hazel's Footprints Trust. We have also recently expanded the local project team with the recruitment of an additional member of staff.

In the UK, we are in the process of restructuring as a Charitable Company in preparation for directly employing members of staff for the first time. We are also working on a brand new, device-responsive website and are finalising plans for a fundraising trip to the US later this summer.

All-in-all, the rest of 2016 promises big things and we cannot wait for it!

News from the ground
Seventh heaven...
Nearly a year since it began, work on the £100,000 redevelopment of our seventh partner school, Ngambenyi Primary, is in its final stages. Whilst not our biggest (that honour falls to Kisimenyi) this will certainly be our best school build to date; we cannot wait to show you the finished school when it opens in September.
Doubling up...
For a long time we have had just one local staff member in Kenya, our Project Manager Denis Mwanyiro. However, with our operations growing, he needed support, so we have recruited another member of staff. We welcome Brian Mwadime (pictured) to the team as Administrator & Office Manager.

African Promise is doing a wonderful job! We can't thank you enough, my words can't measure the big thank you in our hearts...it's overwhelming!!!

Other news
Fit for the digital age...
We are working with the brilliant team at Noisy Little Monkey who are building us (at no cost!) a brand new, device-responsive website. The site will launch later in the summer and will be the first incarnation of our website that has not been designed and built by us, so expect to see some major improvements!
America here we come...
This summer we will spend 12 days in the US seeking to establish a new network of supporters. We are very grateful to two friends of the charity, Suzanne Payne (pictured) and Carrie Hall Schalter, who will be hosting us and are planning a busy schedule of events.
Make your donation go further this month...

On Wednesday 15th June, donations made to African Promise via GlobalGiving will be boosted by an EXTRA 30%.

So a £20 donation from you would be worth £26 to us. Can you help us get our hands on some of this FREE MONEY!?
We're on Instagram...
Photos are taken to be shared (and we take alot) so to keep up with the cool kids we've joined the world of Instagram and are busy posting and hashtagging. Come on over and follow us for exclusive content giving you a peak behind the scenes and the chance to get to know the charity a little bit better.
