The Future of Life on Earth and Everywhere Else

Dr. Adam Frank

Astrophysicist Adam Frank calculates that we might have 200 years to figure things out before climate change and/or resource depletion send us the way of the dinosaur.

Dr. Frank will be sharing his ideas on “The Future of Life on Earth and Everywhere Else” Friday, Oct. 1 at 7 p.m. via a live-stream Zoom presentation sponsored by The Cazenovia Forum. The presentation is free, but requires registration.

In previous talks and writings, he has noted that many of the problems plaguing humankind today arose from scientific progress. But science will also provide the solutions.

For example, exploration of neighbor planets Venus and Mars has yielded invaluable information on climate change that are applicable here on earth, and indeed throughout the cosmos. Dr. Frank believes that by learning everything we can about the cosmos, including the study and contemplation of the rise and fall of civilizations on other planets, we may learn how to solve the problems confronting us.
