Edgeryders is growing!
"I got my first job, fell in love with someone 10 years older and started working for an NGO"
One of the key reasons the early community members became so close and could get projects like the unMonastery off the ground is that we shared our personal stories with one another. There are now over 100 projects that you can get involved in on Edgeryders. And the community has doubled it's size since this time last year. We are now over 2050 people in over 30 countries.
So it makes sense to take time to revisit this tradition and get to know one another again. Where are you now, where are you coming from and where are you trying to get to? Come tell your story and read others: http://edgeryders.eu/arrivals
Spot The Future (#futurespotters) is officially launched!
Edgeryders has secured it's first paid gig prototyping a new methodology for the United Nations Development Program. This month we are exploring what interesting projects people in Armenia, Egypt and Georgia are working on and why. What challenges do they face and how we can help one another?
- Want to join in on the action? Workshops in Tbilisi 14/4, Yerevan on 18/4 and Cairo on 25/4.
- International event in Tbilisi at end of may. Limited number of paid travel places available for community members.
- Know of an interesting initiatives, or people who might? We have a budget for a number of paid articles.

We thought we were hiring a social media manager. Turns out we were wrong.
Last month we finally got to the point where we could start paying someone to manage the Edgeryders social media accounts (Noemi and Nadia have been doing it on volunteer basis since launch and it's a lot of work). So we posted a call for applications on the blog. As they came in we realised we had made a mistake..read more here.
Stepping up our game together
As you may or may not know, Edgeryders has been kept up and running by Matthias, Alberto, Noemi, Arthur and Nadia and many contributions form a long list of community members for the past year. We have worked hard to keep Edgeryders free and independentt by not applying for funding or investment for several reasons. Our strategy is to pursue paid client work that is aligned with the community's values in order to cover the costs of running the platform and to generate quality paid work for community members. Now that we have proven we can do it, we'd like to reach out to the rest of the community and invite you to get involved.
Check out the company website we've built and feel free to get in touch if you would like to explore opportunities together: company.edgeryders.eu
Thanks for being Edgeryders or for liking us, we love you for that!
