"When the world tells us we have to be small we have to remind ourselves that we can be giants together"
Hello future spotters! Some of us met already in Tbilisi, Yerevan, Cairo, and we continue to meet many more who want to join forces and look for alternatives to challenges which are - guess what! - similar across countries, across Europe and the world. It makes sense to move one step further, but this time on a global level.
On June 25th-28th, we're coming together in Tbilisi for an international event! An epic goal is to create sound, realistic alternatives to challenges we are discussing already online.
As with all Edgeryders events, this one is open and free for anyone. What's more, it is built with, for and by the community. We're talking different levels of involvement, depending on the kind of skills and time each person has. Consider registering early on, especially if you need travel support. MEET & TWEET #FUTURESPOTTERS
THIS MONDAY at 11 am cet
We're throwing a massive online party to launch the event. A twitterstorm is an effective tool we've been using at Edgeryders for some time now to let the world know about what we're doing. How it works is we're all joining twitter at the same time using a unique hashtag (#futurespotters). The @edgeryders account runs the show with tweets prepared in advance, and the rest of us follow, (re)tweet, tweet in our own languages. We come from so many countries!
What will we tweet?
- The June 25-28 event and ways to get involved in the organisation.
- People and initiatives already building the future in Georgia, Armenia and Egypt.. that is, you!
- Calls for participation for others to connect to futurespotters, and join us in June.
- You can tweet your personal experience from the workshops. Also, what's your own EPIC GOAL for the June conference?
Here's a tool Said set up to allow us to pick tweets straightforward, check Monday for an updated list.
If you don't have a twitter account, think about setting one up for Monday, you'll see how much fun it is. Detailed instructions are contained in this post: How we'll do a press conference on Twitter – and that means you, too! It only makes sense if we're storming together, so come!
Thanks for joining the Futurespotters ryde, we love you for that!
Noemi, Nadia and everyone on your left :)
