Welcome to the GCVS May 2018 Newsletter!

Firstly, I'd like to take the opportunity to thank you for signing up to continue to receive our Newsletter. We're well aware that GDPR hasn't been easy for many third sector organisations, which is why we're offering workshops in June covering various aspects of the new regulation, details of which you will find in the News section just below.

In other news, we have been making good progress towards signing a Concordat with Glasgow City Council, as a partner in Glasgow's Third Sector Interface along with Glasgow Social Enterprise Network (GSEN), Glasgow Third Sector Forum and Volunteer Glasgow.  This Concordat will set out the basis for a new relationship between the Third Sector and the local authority going forward and a date is being sought in June for a consultation event to share progress and seek Third Sector views on this important initiative.
A separate briefing is being prepared by the Third Sector Forum, so you’ll hear more about the Concordat in the next few weeks.

Meantime, have a great month,
Liz McEntee
Director of External Affairs

These are interactive workshops, at the end of which you should be clear on what your responsibilities are.

The most recent update for our Tackling Fraud Together project, in partnership with Outreach Solutions is now available on the GCVS Website.

The team discuss continuing to refresh TFT messages in the City Centre and Merchant City, plus a text scam where fraudsters pose as the DVLA - it would be very easy to fall for that one!
