Introduction to Dyslexia Tuesday 27 February 2018
(Evening session  18.00-20.00)


A good place to start increasing your awareness of dyslexia. This free session is aimed at staff and volunteers in the Third Sector and Colleges in Glasgow.  Everyone has some idea or thinks they know something about dyslexia but, unfortunately, there is a lot of misunderstanding around! This training session covers:
  • What is dyslexia
  • Facts and myths
  • Typical characteristics, what does it feel like
  • What to look out for
  • Useful strategies (a very quick idea of what to think about)

Dyslexia Friendly Practice Wednesday 21 March 2018
(Evening Session 18.00-21.00)

A popular follow-on from the Introduction to Dyslexia,  this session covers good practice in a learning environment but is equally relevant for support workers that need to support service users with organisational skills, writing, everyday skills etc.  Additionally, we will highlight some useful apps and free software.

                Impact for "Fearties" Tuesday 13 March 2018

Join the CLD Team for an easy introduction to self-evaluation and measuring impact for those who’ve thought about it, but never quite started!
