Guidance on Trustees' Annual reports

OSCR have produced new guidance for Scottish charities about Trustees’ Annual Reports. 'Trustees' Annual Reports: Good practice and guidance' is aimed at small and medium charities that usually prepare Receipts and Payments accounts. It lets charity trustees know their legal responsibilities when producing a TAR and how it can be used to tell the story of the charity. Read our Trustees' Annual Reports guidance here.

New ESOL Related Content on the National Improvement Hub

Education Scotland have recently published some new content on the National Improvement Hub which will be of interest to those working in ESOL delivery and with refugees. The content captures the inputs at the COSLA national learning event held in October 2017 which focussed on teaching ESOL to refugees.
Additionally, an exemplar looking at working with young unaccompanied asylum seekers and refugees is now available. It looks at the programme of delivery which happens at Glasgow Clyde College with some links to related information.

Funding

Stalled Spaces Programme

Applications are invited for Glasgow City Council’s Stalled Spaces Programme, 2018-19. Community groups or local organisations across Glasgow are encouraged to apply for innovative projects aimed at improving and activating stalled sites or underused open spaces in the city. Closing date for applications is Monday, March 26th 2018. Funding is available from a minimum £1,000 to a maximum £4,500. Transition Fund

ILF Scotland has now opened the Transition Fund. The fund will provide short term grants (with £5 million of funding available per year) to young disabled people, providing them with opportunities that facilitate their participation and inclusion within their communities. Read more…
