Dear <<First Name>>

Welcome to the end of another week! I've decided that I'm a bah humbug unless it's the heat that has got to me... more of why later.
As well as the lovely ladies in the shop we have a number of mostly unseen elves and fairies, I often mention Kjersti our mail order, clubs and precuts fairy and Karen our website fairy but today need to mention Jeremy our 'do almost anything Emma asks or has a  bright idea about' elf (and my amazing husband!). He came in earlier today to help me sort the storage sheds and cut down the overgrown foliage in the back yard and took it to the tip. It means we have space for a table and chairs for staff breaks - if the weather continues like today it will be a lovely place for us to eat lunch. Thank you Jeremy!
We regularly get catalogues from our suppliers and love looking through them to find new products, fabrics, patterns and ideas - although it can be dangerous as we mark down what we like/think our customers will like (it reminds me of being a child and going through the Argos catalogue in October or November to make a Christmas present list - who else did that?!). Two items that came up this time round were this cute Iron Pin Cushion - an ideal birthday, Christmas or Thank you gift for a friend and the super practical Quilters Multi Mat - it's a Cutting Mat/Ironing board/Design Board - which is from the Hemline Gold range and fits perfectly in the Multi Use Craft Bag and it's on Pre Order Offer for June when you can get 10% off the RRP. It's one I will have to add to my wish list as I do like matching toys (oops maybe that should be tools...).
Next we have some sad news - Sue Thornborough will be leaving us in September, she is off to sunnier climes (although today's weather is obviously a match for Australia!!). As a result we have opened all her remaining classes up as Open Format so if you have an unfinished project you started with Sue or always wanted to do one of her classes but the dates didn't work now is the time to get booked in. The dates are Fridays 24th June, 22nd July and 5th August and Saturdays 30th July and 13th August.
Two of our embroidery classes coming up soon are this lovely Beach Huts Embroidery on 16th June (next week!), and the beautiful Flower Vase Embroidery on 12th July. There are also spaces on Cathy's Get to know your sewing machine on the morning of Tuesday 5th July and Cathy's Open Format class on Wed 6th July.
Now, back to me being a bah humbug (I can't really blame it on the heat)... we had a Christmas delivery this week!! It's June!! I was talking to Lizzy about it earlier in the week and said I couldn't believe people would be interested in Christmas this early - if you are like me and NOT interested then feel free to stop reading now, go and pour a glass of wine (my answer to everything!) and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

However Lizzy said some people think it's acceptable and put a story/poll on Instagram and low and behold 86% (EIGHTY SIX PERCENT!!) agreed with Lizzy that it is never to early for Christmas. I know it's only 86% of those who voted so not a true representation but What?!

So now that I've got my rant over, and I do know we have to start Advent Calendars in advance (surely October or November is early enough?) here are details of some of the lovely fabrics and Advent Calendars that have just arrived...
We have three Advent Calendars and a Scandi Advent Stockings Bunting, ten Scandi fabrics (they are lovely but it's June!), a selection of fun fabrics from the Merry Christmas 2022 range and a Large Stocking pattern from Makower. For those of you who want to get started super early, head over the the Christmas fabrics pages. Everyone else - I recommend a lovely glass of wine and the Argos catalogue 🤣.
Anyway, I'm off now to have that glass of wine, find an Argos catalogue and do some sewing of a non Christmas nature. I might even get the three other projects I started last week finished this weekend. Hope you enjoy your weekend whatever you are doing.
Happy Sewing,

Emma and the Creative Quilting Team
