Dear <<First Name>>

I've had a bit of Brain Fog this week - polite way of saying I've been forgetful!! My normal trick of crossing my fingers so that I remember or setting an alarm in my phone has let me down and today I've managed to go up and down the stairs at CQ four times for the same thing - I guess at least I've increased my steps count, and yes on the fourth attempt I did manage to take the file I needed.
It's been a busy week with classes and today I managed to get a couple of photos of the gorgeous tortoises being made using the stained glass bias technique by Barbara and Sharon - don't they look amazing? If you have always wanted to do a stained glass effect block then Sue's class on Saturday 30th July still has places - you don't have to do the peacock as Sue has plenty of other patterns including an Elephant, Poinsettia and Christmas Candles.
Pat has been finishing this beautiful Kalediscope lap quilt, it looks complicated but once you realise how it is put together it becomes much simpler...
I've also been finishing off a quilt top using the Art Nouveau collection from Michael Miller and some Linen texture, I used the free Indigo Quilt pattern from Makower. It just needs to go on the ever growing pile of tops waiting to be quilted...
I was going to be writing that we haven't had any new fabrics in again this week, but we had some new fabric arrive this afternoon - yay! I'm going to be mean and tell you that you have to wait until next week to find out what collection it is - all I will say for now is that it ISN'T Christmas and it's lovely and bright.
Two of our upcoming classes are this Hunters Star (the class on 8th July is full but book on any of Sue's other classes and let us know this is what you want to do) and the Tartan Weave class on Friday 22nd July. I love the purples that Sue has used for this sample block.
We also still have spaces on Vicky's Flower Vase Embroidery class on Tuesday 12th July and Cathy's Emmaline Retreat Bag class on Wednesday 6th July (or you can book a place and bring along one of your UFOs that Cathy can help you with).
We are excited that tomorrow (Saturday) Claire Campion will be joining us for a class dedicated to quilting with your walking foot, we've had a couple of late cancellations so if you'd like to join us check out the details on the website and drop me an email and we can sort the details first thing in the morning.
Well I'm off now to get ready for tomorrow. I'm away next weekend so I'm going to be leaving you with Karen who will be able to share the new fabrics with you (I need to leave her something to write about!). Have a good weekend and enjoy sewing if you get time.
