Dear Friend,

We now have 1.5 weeks before we return to Carlisle! Our time in the US has gone fast, and it’s hard to believe it’s almost over.

I (Leon) thrive on seeing many people in a short space of time and I (Chrysti) have found it exhausting. Our routine is completely changed. We have had more time to spend reading than normal and have enjoyed ticking a few books off our reading list. The time has been fruitful, but we are very excited to be heading back home.

In this update:

The Wedding

The big event that happened in the last month was Kelli (Leon’s sister) & Loren’s wedding. It was a lovely, God-glorifying day. We enjoyed seeing them so happy. It was also fun to catch up with friends we wouldn’t have otherwise seen on this trip to the US. We got a babysitter for the reception and had a really nice time staying out late dancing and chatting.

Prayer Points

  • Please pray for our health during our remaining days in the US. We are hoping Chrysti's back spasm and Asher's bronchitis will be all we'll have to deal with.
  • Pray for safety in our travels as we return to the UK. Pray that Asher will be able to have a seat on the plane again!
  • Pray that Leon will have wisdom for deciding how to move forward with the use of Microsoft's Office 365 within OM.
  • Pray that we will re-engage well with our home group, church and community once we return to the UK.

According to Asher

I have been very busy babbling, playing and learning new skills. I liked playing with my cousins. I started walking last week, but I still prefer to crawl. I like to meet all of Mummy and Daddy’s friends but I find it overwhelming at times so I like to be near my Mummy a lot.

Life on Home Assignment

We have been busy meeting with people and spending time with family. After the wedding, we spent some more time in Illinois before heading to St. Louis. There, we spent time with Leon’s brother and family. Leon also travelled to Rolla, MO to see supporters and speak at a church. We were recently in Kentucky and the Cincinnati area for almost two weeks.
We’ve enjoyed meeting with people and seeing our families. Asher’s grandparents have had ample opportunity to babysit in the evenings (a real blessing for us when we are out late meeting people.) We have a sneaky suspicion that they have been enjoying that time with him.
We are now at Taylor University in Upland, IN attending the ICCM. For me (Leon) the  International Conference on Computing and Mission (ICCM) is a highlight of this trip. One workshop at the conference is of particular interest because of the research I am doing on Office 365. I (Chrysti) am looking forward to a little bit of a break before heading home.
God Bless,

Leon, Chrysti & Asher
