Recent Deliveries from CustomFIRE

"The Crosslake Fire Department just took delivery of our new Spartan Metro Star Custom Engine from Custom Fire this past August 2015. This is our third apparatus we have purchased from Custom Fire in the last 10 years. When working with the staff at Custom Fire, we had no issues throughout entire process. From the first design meeting, the layout, the build, to delivery, everything went smoothly and the staff was very accommodating to our schedule. They were always available to discuss the build throughout the entire process. We purchased the apparatus through the HGAC program and they made the process very easy with no issues. The staff and Custom Fire are very friendly and they take much pride in their product. We are very happy we purchased our Engine from Custom Fire."

"Over the years, the City of Eagan has had the pleasure of purchasing a number of trucks from CustomFIRE.  Each truck has been an outstanding product and every step of the process makes the customer truly feel like this is the most important truck CustomFIRE will build.  It starts with the sales staff understanding our needs to the engineers making suggestions during pre-build and shop staff answering questions during construction.  Another testament to the high quality of a CustomFIRE truck is the fact that every one of our 1980's vintage CustomFIRE trucks are still in service throughout Minnesota still to this day.  Not many manufacturers have 30-year old trucks that serve one community for 20 plus years and are on their second life as a frontline apparatus in greater Minnesota."

Have you considered a two-stage pump for your operations? A single-stage pump has a performance advantage only when pumping near rated capacity. Under any other condition, a two–stage pump performs better. Most importantly, at capacities of only 50–300 gpm at pressures of 150–300 psi, which are used much more frequently than large flows, a single–stage pump is actually being misused. The efficiency will be very low, noise and vibrations can result and heat will develop rapidly. Under shut–off conditions the heat buildup will be much faster than with a two–stage pump operating at the same pressure. Visit the Waterous Company's website here to learn more about the advantages of a two-stage pump system.
