Recent Deliveries from CustomFIRE

“We’ve typically relied on pre-owned apparatus for our fleet.  We acquired our last one from Custom Fire and they were great to work with.  Seeing their trucks perform so well for years on Fire Departments around us also gave us a lot of respect and confidence in their products.  When we were given the opportunity to build a new truck, we knew what we wanted; a Full Response® Cab and a bolted stainless steel body.  Custom listened to our needs and desires and incorporated them into a perfect package for our Fire Department.  This truck is exactly what we expected.”

“The Suamico Fire Department recently took delivery of a new Spartan Gladiator Fully Enclosed Engine.  This is our first apparatus we have purchased from CustomFIRE.  When working with the staff, we had no issues throughout entire process.  We have been very happy with the help and support that we've received from everyone at CustomFIRE.  The staff is very friendly and take a huge amount of pride in their work.  The Suamico Fire Department is very happy we purchased our Engine from them, they were extremely flexible and accommodating with meeting our specific requirements.”

Whether it’s changing weather patterns or the comfort of your chassis cab, climate management seems to be on everyone’s mind these days.  Spartan is doing more than their fair share with the introduction of their new SGM Climate Management system.
In a very bold move of self-awareness, Spartan has acknowledged the misgivings of their previous system by releasing a revolutionary approach to emergency vehicle climate management.  In long history of Spartan’s technical leadership, “SGM” is the first and only system in the industry to address SAE standards of climate management.
Apparatus Product Manager, Wayde Kirvida, explains “VOC studies by CustomFIRE and Spartan revealed strong customer desire for enhanced heating and cooling at all areas of the cab interior.  So this new system provides a 387% increase in air flow.  In fact, the maximum temperate delta is only 10 degrees F between Head, Torso and Foot locations.  The areas that received the largest increase in air flow were the rear facing outboard seats. End users will also see an immense improvement in windshield and side window defrost/defogging.”
Backed up and documented by a Third party engineering testing agency, the new ceiling mounted system also features very effective gravity drains on each side of the cab interior to ensure condensation departure, thus eliminating the need for scavenge pumps.  Kirvida continues, “Initial responses have been overwhelmingly positive.  The A/C system is incredibly effective at cooling the cab in hot and humid environments.  Serviceability is a hallmark of both companies.  Therefore, you will now see increased service access panels, convenient equipment mounting provisions, and a visible addition of registers throughout the cab.”
Cold climate under-seat heaters and a patented heated door glass feature remain available for a total cold weather knock-out.
No matter the call, no matter the weather, you can count on reliable comfort inside your Spartan chassis cab.   Make sure to spec the Spartan SGM climate management system in your next apparatus!
