Our top stories this week:

The Faculty Artists Concert Series is a program spanning across the fall semester at the UIndy. The series features live music performances from the Music Department faculty, including full-time faculty, adjunct professors and assistant professors.

Each performance has taken place on Monday evenings in the Ruth Lilly Performance Hall as well as being broadcasted via Twitch livestream.

OPINION: The importance of political tolerance, civility post-election

This year’s presidential election was nothing short of a battle, bitterly contested throughout each candidate’s campaign, with false facts and sore attitudes flying around. 
 
We all should be making the best of the situation. Rather than rioting or complaining, everyone should take a step back and be more open-minded. It’s not mature to let election results dictate our attitudes and actions for the next four years.

UIndy Forensic Speech and Debate adapts to COVID-19 changes

For the Forensic Speech and Debate team, COVID-19 meant the end of their competitive season last year. But this semester, Team Director and Assistant Professor of Communication Stephanie Wideman did not want to see the team suffer the same fate.

Over the summer, coaches from all across the country met and discussed ways to have a season in the fall, according to Wideman.

The community decided to develop their own program called Yaatly that was designed specifically for speech and debate tournaments.

UIndy’s Swim and Dive teams continue racing toward goals

Despite the pandemic, the University of Indianapolis Swim and Dive teams have continued to work toward their goals. Both the men’s team and the women’s team have been training and competing at meets for a chance to earn GLVC and NCAA championships. 

UIndy Swim Dive is well-rounded this year, Head Swim and Dive Coach Jason Hite said. The teams are going to do their best to have a semblance of a normal season.
