Medical marijuana processed in filthy washing machine before being infused into foods for patients. Officials forced At Home Baked to recall all of its food products after seeing how the company processed marijuana. This is the industry standard for what people have been using for 30 years to make bubble hash,” complained a company spokesman. See “How some marijuana medicines are made” for video of TV news story.
Multiple violations close down Cheeba Chews production for months. A medical marijuana chocolate taffy called Cheeba Chews is back on dispensary shelves after having mysteriously disappeared in March. The Denver Post explains what the problem was: officials stopped production after learning of many violations. See “Cheeba Chews production halted by state marijuana license denial.”

Regulators in the second state to legalize marijuana for recreational use will allow pot shops to sell brownies, cookies, and other baked goods, but not candies that appeal to children. Presumably, cookies and brownies don’t. See “Washington state says marijuana brownies OK, but not lollipops.”
