Dear Drug Prevention, Treatment, Recovery, and Law Enforcement Friends:
National Families in Action is a nonpartisan, nonprofit drug prevention organization that supports the best candidate for the job.

President Elect-Trump will be appointing a new federal Drug Czar. This person will head the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP). It is important that we have a Drug Czar who supports science, prevention, treatment, recovery, and law enforcement and understands our respective fields.
Many of us in these fields are supporting Bertha Madras, PhD, for ONDCP Director. She has in-depth experience applying science to public policy. She is an advocate for realistic and evidence-based drug policies providing for prevention, treatment, recovery, and law enforcement.
Dr. Madras served as Deputy Director for Prevention at ONDCP in the George W. Bush administration. Therefore, she can hit the ground running and will need no learning curve, which is critical as timing is everything. She is a powerful advocate against the legalization of marijuana. Her political knowledge will guide her to take the proper steps to halt legalization. I have known her for many years and worked with her. She is dynamic and has impeccable integrity. Ask your colleagues to join you.

If you would like a copy of her resume, please email me and I will send it to you by return email. (MailChimp does not enable attachments.)

I hope you will join National Families in Action in supporting Dr. Madras's candidacy. If, so, please copy this paragraph, fill in the information, and email back to me as soon as possible. We will pass your information right away. Thanks!

Please add me to the list of people who support Dr. Bertha Madras for Director of the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy.
